Background
Massimo Folliero has given many recitals at important venues in Italy and abroad: the Muza Kawasaki Auditorium in
Tokyo (Japan), the Appel Farm Arts and Music Center Theater in Elmer (New Jersey, United States), the
Kapelzaal of the Volksuniversiteit in Leiden (The Netherlands), the Heritage Chapel of the Music Centre in
Christchurch (New Zealand), the Salon de Actos of the Madrid Ateneo (Spain), the Italian Institutes of
Culture for the European Week of Culture celebrations in Ljubljana (Slovenija) and Copenhagen (Denmark),
the Coenen Palais in Koblenz (Germany), the Ribbeck Castle for the Havelland Musikfestspiele (Germany);
the Alliance Francaise Auditorium and the Assumption International University in Bangkok (Thailand), the
Leela Auditorium in Bangalore (India), the James Tatoulis Auditorium in Melbourne (Australia), Encore
Music Society in Vancouver (Canada), and the Teatro Civico in Varallo Sesia (Italy), where the well-known
Viotti International Music Competition is held.
In December 2009, during his first Asia Tour, his performances were met with much enthusiasm by audiences and the press in India. His performance of the Mozart Piano Concerto K414 with the William Joseph Symphony Orchestra was screened by the Indian National Television. In addition to being a performing artist, Massimo Folliero has taught at the Maria Ausiliatrice School and the International School of Milan. He has also given several Piano Master Classes in Europe and Asia. In April 2009 he was elected an Honorary Member of the Jury of the 9th Edition of the International Piano Competition Ciudad de El Ejido (Spain) where he also conducted a Master Class. Currently he is a Piano Professor at the Dedalo Music School in Novara.
His second Asia tour has scheduled concerts in Brunei, India, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand and a Concert Lecture at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
