Karlsruher Konzert-Duo - 10th December, 2011
Background
The Karlsruhe Concert Duo of Reinhard Armleder, cello, and Dagmar Hartmann, piano, was formed in 1997 and has become well-known through many International Competition successes, particularly in Italy and France. Public praise has come especially for the depth of musical interpretation, brilliant technique, and the sense of fantasy evoked by their repertoire.
The international calls for their performances have taken them around the world . In 2009 and 2010 they gave concerts in USA, Russia, Brazil, SOuth Africa, Armenia, the Gulf, Near East, Italy and Romania. In 2011 their concerts tours have taken them to France, Croatia, Greece and Macedonia - and in December to China, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei.
The duo both studied in the state music schools of Trossingen and Karlsruhe: Reinhard Armleder under Prof. Gerhard Hamann and Prof Eberhard Finke, followed by master classes with outstanding Euroean cellists, gaining his diploma as a soloist; Dagmar Hartman under Prof Johan van Beek and Prof Wagenhauser and master classes gaining her diploma through solo and chamber music examinations.
As well as their concrt programmes both artists teach at the Badischer Konservatorium in Karlsruhe, are judges at musical competitions, and conduct international master classes.
